New Zealand eventing hero Andrew Nicholson is returning home to be part of the inaugural EQUITANA Auckland.
Fresh off the back of his win at the Badminton Horse Trials, Nicholson is looking forward to being back on home soil alongside some of the best riders in the world.
The former world number one has an incredible riding resume which includes six Olympic Games, seven World Equestrian Games, five wins at the Burghley Horse Trials, and most recently the win at Badminton in May. Nicholson is touted as the one of the world’s greatest horseman and most certainly is one not to be missed at EQUITANA Auckland.
In 2015, Andrew faced what could have meant the end of his career, breaking his neck in a fall at the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe. Nicholson has been quite open about just how fortunate he is to be back enjoying his life with wife Wiggy and his children.
His recovery back to top level competition just underlines this incredible horseman’s determination, dedication and true talent.
He is revered not just in eventing circles, but throughout the entire equine world.
At EQUITANA Auckland Nicholson will be offering his great insights to the sport he continues to excel at.
He will be sharing his wealth of knowledge across all three disciplines at a masterclass in the Premier Arena at EQUITANA Auckland. Don’t miss out on the chance to welcome one of New Zealand’s greatest sporting heroes.
