Horse Health

I have always had a desire to work in the equine industry and studied to become an Equine Dental Technician after years of competition and travel.

In my late teens I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to move to Australia where I rode and competed in Dressage at Young Rider level. During this time, and previously while competing in NZ, I had managed to qualify for the Young Rider World Cup, held in Frankfurt, Germany, which progressed my riding career to competing and schooling horses in Wiesbaden, Germany as a dressage rider. I gained experience in everything from foaling and handling right through to Grand Prix Dressage.

After deciding to come back home to New Zealand, I looked to change my focus and studied to become an Equine Dental Technician, allowing me to combine my love of horses and knowledge of performance horses with an industry that has the ability to dramatically improve a horses well being and performance of the ridden athlete. Equine Dental Care believe in offering top quality preventative and remedial dental treatments to your equine companions. Through dental treatment we aim for your horse’s teeth to have increased longevity, maximum comfort with the bit; helping with peak performance, as well as reducing the risk of major dental problems through prevention.
