Training

Jim Masterson is an equine bodywork therapist and founder of the Masterson Method® of Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork®, and is head of the certification program for students of the Masterson Method techniques.

Over the years his equine clientele has included the USEF Endurance Team, competitors in USEF Medal and Maclay events, Nations Cup, and Pan American and World Equestrian Games and members of the USEF Singles Driving Team. Mr. Masterson teaches an interactive and easy to learn method of equine bodywork to owners and therapists, in which the practitioner learns to recognize specific visual and neurological responses of the horse as it releases tension in the body. The method is unique in that it enables the horse to participate in the process by showing us where tension has accumulated, how much pressure is needed, and when the tension is released.

Mr. Masterson has been teaching Masterson Method® hands on workshops and courses to horse owners in the United States, Europe, Australia and South Africa since 2005. He is the author of several instructional books and DVDs, including Beyond Horse Massage book and DVD in English, French, German, Spanish and Polish, Dressage Movements Revealed DVD, Dressage Horse Optimized book, and Light to the Core DVD.
